Pianke — A Content Creation Workbench
An immersive writing front-end with an ink-and-film aesthetic, developed spec-first with OpenSpec. Winner of the Best Technology award at ByteDance's Trae Hackathon in Shenzhen.
React 19 / OpenSpec / Spec-Driven
Positioning
For whom: content creators who want to write inside an interface with atmosphere. It treats the writing surface as an experience — ink-wash and film grain rather than one more white text box.
What it replaces: nothing mature; it was a hackathon build on a short clock. Its value was to test one thing: can spec-driven development deliver a complete, demoable, well-crafted front-end in a very short window? It can, and it won.
Main modules
- Immersive editor: an ink-and-film visual language and a full-screen focus mode.
- Spec-driven features: every feature had an OpenSpec spec before code; the spec doubled as the demo script.
- AI slot: mocked in the contest build, not a real inference path — stated here rather than hidden.
Stack
- React 19 for the front-end.
- OpenSpec for spec-first development — write the spec clearly, then the code, which is how I work anyway.
Status
Best Technology award, ByteDance Trae Hackathon, Shenzhen. My part was the front-end and the spec-driven process.
